2017 Red Rhône Blend
Our 2017 vintage is a blend of 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvedre. The 2017 Sin Banderas Red Wine is a blend of 4 barrels of Syrah and 2 barrels of Mourvedre sourced from the Yakima Valley. It spent 18 months in French oak and is 18% new oak from TN Coopers. The wine starts with aromas of smoked meats, tar, and red cherry preserves. Forward and fruity on the palate, the wine shows off a nice combination of red and dark fruits with milk chocolate flavors.
"This GSM is actually more of a Northern Rhone style blend with 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvèdre and no Grenache. The result is a rich, sexy wine that is very polished with smoked meat nuances and fantastic balance. A delicious wine from Chelan/ Wapato's Sin Banderas...91 Points. "
